What has helped me to wake up early in the mornings

morning personAs a night gamer for years (over 20 years), it has been very difficult for me to transition to be a morning person, but after multiple trials and errors,  I finally got it right and I wanted to share with you what has worked for me.  I was heavily influenced and helped by ma nigga Will from the revolutionary lifestyle design (I will link his video and article at the end of the post) and I was also influence by the book the 5 second rule (this is a must read book)…  Finally, I created my own twist and a mix of both methods…

Step 1.-

I set up 3 alarms TO GO TO SLEEP (this is my personal twist). So I set up an alarm for 11:00 pm, one for 12 am and one for 1 am. I know if at least by 1 am I do not go to sleep it will be a bitch to wake up in the morning.

Step 2.-

I set up 5 alarms on the same device to wake up (I learned this from my ex-main Kristy).  So lets say I have to wake up at 7 I tell Alexa/google home (my personal robotic assistant) or If you do not have Alexa/google home set  your cell phone/alarm clock  7:00 am 7:05 am 7:07 am etc…

Step 3.-

DO NOT SET UP YOUR DEVICE CLOSE TO YOU (no nightstand or anything less than 5 feet away from you). In other words you want to place the device in the kitchen/bathroom or minimum 8 feet away from you minimum.

Step 4.-

When you hear the alarm you will use the 5 second rule.- In other words you will say: “5,4,3,2,1 GO” and you will proceed to physically move your body without thinking (if you do not apply the 5 second rule your mind will sell you on why not to wake up, trust me, your mind is the best sells person in the world).

Step 5.-

After, you turn off the alarm you will go to the bathroom and wash your face IMMEDIATELY with cold water.

Setp 6.-

You will go to the fridge and drink water and take a caffeine pill or drink a glass of diet mountain dew (diet is the key word, this drink has the highest concentration of caffeine), or if you are into coffee black coffee (no creamer of sugar, specially if you are doing intermittent fasting).

Step 7.-

Get dress and hit the gym.

Now what will happen after about 3 days your body will wake up automatically a bit before 7 am (trust me on this)

^ This morning routine will also increase your happiness if you try it. (When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine.)
